History of the Family

Gilbert L. Chamberlain B. 1918 in Ohio D. 27 July 1968 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

Ralph Chamberlain, B. 30 May 1920 in Ohio, D. 28 Oct. 1991 in Steubenville, Jefferson County, Ohio.

Gilbert and Ralph are the sons of Ralph Chamberlain, B. 20 Jan. 1901 in Harrison County, Ohio D. 1919 in Jefferson County, Ohio and Mary Campbell Chamberlain, B. 20 Sept. 1902 in Mineral City, Tuscarawas County, Ohio D. 13 July 1994, in Carrollton, Tuscarawas County Ohio.

Their mother, Mary, remarried Augustus “Gus” Morgan after the death of their father, Ralph.
Augustus Morgan and Mary Campbell Chamberlain Morgan had a son named Clyde Ray Morgan, B.10 November 1924, D. 15 November 1970 in Jefferson County, Ohio.
Augustus, Mary, and Clyde Ray are buried at East Springfield Cemetery, Jefferson County, Ohio.

Ralph, Gilbert and Clyde Ray Morgan all served during WWII.

Paternal grandparents are Reese F. Chamberlain B. 2 Sept. 1871 in West Virginia, D. 24 January 1933 in Harrison County, Ohio and Carrie Pinkerton Chamberlain, B. 30 November 1872, in Harrison County, Ohio, D. 22 July 1946 in Harrison County, Ohio.
They are buried at Olive Branch Cemetery, Harrison County, Ohio.

Paternal great grandparents are Leeander (Lee) Chamberlain, B. 18 April 1846, in Mt. Pleasant Township, Jefferson County, Ohio and Eliza Jane Arnold, B.1846 in West Virginia, D. 23 May 1876 in Brooke County West Virginia.

Maternal grandparents are John J. and Corma Clark Campbell.

Clyde Ray Morgan, B. 10 November 1924 in Jefferson County, Ohio, D. 15 November 1970 in Jefferson County, Ohio.
He served in WWII.
He is buried at East Springfield Cemetery, Jefferson County, Ohio.

He was the son of Augustus "Gus" Morgan, B. 24 August 1895, D. 17 August 1964 in Jefferson County, Ohio and Mary Campbell Chamberlain Morgan, B. 20 Sept. 1902 in Mineral City, Tuscarawas County, Ohio, D. 13 July 1994 in Carrollton, Tuscarawas County, Ohio. Mary Campbell was a daughter of John J. Campbell and Corma Clark Campbell.

Clyde Ray had two half- brothers, Ralph and Gilbert Chamberlain. His mother, Mary, was first married to Ralph Chamberlain, B. 20 January 1901 in Harrison County, Ohio and died in 1919 in Ohio.

Ralph is the son of Ralph Chamberlain, B. 20 Jan. 1901 in Harrison County, Ohio D. 1919 in Jefferson County, Ohio and Mary Campbell Chamberlain, B. 20 Sept. 1902 in Mineral City, Tuscarawas County, Ohio D. 13 July 1994, in Carrollton, Tuscarawas County Ohio.

Gilbert Chamberlain

Born 1918 in Ohio Died 27 July 1968 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

Gilbert is the son of Ralph Chamberlain, B. 20 Jan. 1901 in Harrison County, Ohio D. 1919 in Jefferson County, Ohio and Mary Campbell Chamberlain, B. 20 Sept. 1902 in Mineral City, Tuscarawas County, Ohio D. 13 July 1994, in Carrollton, Tuscarawas County Ohio.
