Mabel Barr This is my grandmother Mabel Bell Barr, born June 19, 1888 in Steubenville, Ohio. Her mother was Valerie Vienna Lowmiller Barr, and her father was John Barr. She was one of five children born to that couple. Her sister Susie, three brothers Oscar, Robert, and Harry. Her grandparents were David Lowmiller and Mary Ann Purviance Lowmiller, and Pracilla Maxson Barr and John Barr Sr. submitted by: Kay Kuebeler	First yard engine to work in Mingo yard. It started February 4th, 1891. This photo belonged to my grandfather Charles Roy Keys. She is the daughter mentioned in the obituary of Dr. Thomas H. Purviance February 21, 1891. Her mother is Sarah Maxson. David Lowmiller was born June 1838 in Jefferson Harrison County, Ohio. He is the son of Elias Lowmiller ,birth 1814 and death 1853 in Harrison, Ohio.His mother was Eliza Hazlett , birth 1818, death 1851 in Harrison Ohio.The marriage of David Lowmiller and Mary Ann Purviance occured May 25, 1863, in Harrison County, Ohio. Children of this couple are Valerie Lowmiller, birth June 14, 1864, Nathan Lowmiller approximately 1866,Earnest Lowmiller, aproximately 1874,Alberta Lowmiller, approximately 1876, and Clarinda Lowmiller 1878. submitted by: Kay Kuebeler	Priscilla Barr Obit taken from Herald Star. December 3,1900.Please note the reference to W.P. Maxson, her brother. In the obituary of Dr. Thomas H. Purviance you will see a Sarah Maxson listed as his bride. These families probably knew each other . Mr John Barr,s wife, Valerie Lowmiller, daughter of David and Mary Ann Lowmiller, is the grandaughter of Dr. Thomas H. Merrill Keenan Merrill Leslie Keenan was the son of Thomas James Keenan and Mabel Bell Barr. He is buried in Union Cemetery. Mabel Barr was the daughter of John Barr and Valerie Lowmiller Barr, the grandaughter of Mary Ann Purviance and David Lowmiller, and John and Pricilla Barr of Wheeling West , Virginia and Steubenville. The boy died of ruptered intestines. Tombstone submitted by: Kay Kuebeler	Thomas James Keenan and first son Merrill Leslie Keenan. Thomas James Keenan was born March 19, 1884 in Wheeling, West Virginia. He married Mabel Bell Barr of Steubenville on May 15, 1906. Merrill Leslie Keenan was the first son of the couple.
